Litchfield High School Freshman Sabrina Cofer won her 5th Tennis Tournament of the year at the USTA Junior Championships held at Pinewoods Health and Racquet Club in Torrington, October 8th and 9th. Cofer, the #1 Seed, won the Girl’s 14 and Under Division with victories over Washington, CT’s Grace Tartwijk 6-1,6-1 in the semifinals and over Bristol, CT’s Natasha Kempes 6-4,6-2 in the finals. She is currently ranked #49 in New England in the Girl’s 14 and Under Division. Pinewoods has many Tournaments (Junior and Adult) throughout the Fall and Winter.
