Pinewoods Junior Tennis Players Holden Robinson from Harwinton and Sabrina Cofer from Litchfield were each victorous in their respective 14 and Under Singles Divisions in the USTA CT. Championships Tennis Tournament held at Pinewoods, November 5th and 6th. Robinson, a Freshman at Lewis Mills High School, won 3 matches in route to the title. In his first one he beat Westport’s Max Zimmerman 6-7(7-5),6-0,6-0. Then he won his semifinal match 6-3,6-1 over the #1 Seed, Madison’s Andrew Pace and in the finals he bested Williamstown’s Nyeinchan Soe 6-2,6-1. Cofer won her 6th Tourney of the year with a 6-0,6-0 victory over Norfolk’s Karin Vantine in the finals. Pinewoods has many Tournaments this Winter.
