Barkhamsted’s Ashlyn Ramsay made the finals in her Division in the USTA CT. Junior Championships held January 6,7 at Pinewoods. Northwestern Regional #7’s #1 Player, playing in the Girl’s 18 & Under Division, defeated Lenox Dale, MA’s Kelly Babich in the quarterfinals 6-0,6-1 and Watertown’s Angelica Pecci in the semifinals 6-3,6-0 before falling to Norwalk’s Francesca Garafalo in the finals 6-1,6-2. Ramsay trains at Pinewoods and is one of the top high school players in the Greater Torrington Area. Pinewoods has Adult and/or Junior Tournaments virtually every weekend this winter.
